NAFASI YA KAZI INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTANCY ARUSHA


The institute of Accountancy is a training institutions established under the institute of accountancy Arusha Cap 240.  It is regulated by the NACTE whose power is delivered from the national council for the Technical Educations Cap 129. The overall control and supervision of the institute is vested in its governing council. The institute is decided to excellent in teaching research and consultancy and related fields

OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS OF INSTITUTE ACCOUNTANCY

According to sections 4 of institute of Accountancy Arusha Cap 240 the functions of the institute will be:

    Provide facilities for the study  of training in the principles procedure and teaching of accountancy and related subjects as the governing council may from time to time decide
    Conduct courses leading to professional qualifications in accountancy and related displines
    Sponsor, arrange and provide facilities for the conferences and seminar for discussion of matters related to accountancy, finance, business, economics, information’s technology and other management sciences
    Arrange for the research, consultancy, publications and general disseminations of materials procedures in connections with the work and activities



QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
The prospective aspirant the post must be

    PHD holder and have a higher academic standing with credential eligible for categorize as associate professor
    Holder outstanding academic and administrative experience of at least 7 years in a reputable institutions and  capability in training in any of the field related to IAA
    Proven ability to develop and coordinate  the implementations of the academic vision for the institute of accountancy Arusha
    Ability to influence, build, coalitions, networks and ability to stimulate and encourage new ideas and development through motivations and support of staff and student

    Visionary and proactive
    Managerial and organizational skills
    innovate
    Ability to communicate fluency in both written and spoken Kiswahili and English
    Computer literacy


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Accounting officer and spokes person of the institute
    Facilitate learning  by teaching of academic programs  at the institute
    Principal academic and administrative officer of the institute and secretary  of the government council
    Responsible to the  governing council for the implementations of the decision of the council
    Promote good relationship with  the government and other organizations
    Responsible for promoting  efficient in the academic  activities and related to the traiinig research and consultancy services



TEARMS OF ENGAGEMENT

The rector shall hold for the 5 years and may be eligible for re appointment subject to satisfactory performance
